AGIS to Host No-Cost Seminar on Employer Wellness Programs:
“Start Small, Achieve Big Results!”

AGIS will host a no-cost informative seminar series on basic and advanced strategies relative to employer wellness programs at locations in Michigan and Florida. Entitled, “Employer Wellness Programs: Start Small, Achieve Big Results,” the events will take place in each of the four markets in which AGIS has offices.
Specific dates, times and locations are as follows:

• Troy, Mich. – Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the Troy Marriott, located at 200 West Big Beaver Road in Troy, 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
  
• Jacksonville, Fla. – Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Hotel Indigo Jacksonville, located at 9480 Tapestry Park Circle in Jacksonville, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
  
• Winter Park, Fla. – Wednesday, October 5, 2011, in the Ballroom at the Historic Dubsdread, located at 549 West Par Street in Orlando, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
  

This informative seminar will provide employers with the simple tools to build results-oriented, sustainable wellness programs within their companies. With little or no budget at all, it will be demonstrated how a company can develop an effective wellness program by making small, simple changes in the short term, while potentially developing sophisticated programs over the long term.

“Poor health does not only impact the individual,” said Mark Nixon, president of AGIS’s Jacksonville office, who will be presenting the program. “It has now become a serious threat to our businesses and economy and can no longer be tolerated. Current and past ways of thinking must be put aside and new strategies put in place to take advantage of our resources to become employers who promote a culture of health above sickness.”
